Katie Hogan
Miss Katie began Irish dancing lessons at the age of 7. She immediately fell in love with this unique style because of its energetic yet controlled movements and emphasis on precise footwork. She continued for many years at the McDonald School of Irish Dance under the direction of Amy Marie Markwardt, TCRG. During this time she competed successfully at feiseanna in the Northeastern region, dancing solo, set piece, figure choreography, and traditional céilí divisions. Katie has also performed at many local cultural events. She began teaching in 2006 and currently teaches beginning and intermediate Irish classes, incorporating both traditional and original choreography with soft- and hard-shoe dancing. |

Brianna Barnett
Miss Bri has been dancing since age 5 and teaching since she was in tenth grade. She attended The Dance Connection for the first 12 years of her dancing career and has future career plans of becoming a professional dancer/choreographer. In 2009, Miss Bri was the 3rd runner-up at the regional American Dance Awards competition to become America's Dancer of the Year and in 2010 won the overall highest scoring solo award at the United States Tournament of Dance. She loves teaching almost as much as she loves to dance herself; and she hopes to use her passion and love for dance to inspire her students to be all that they can be. |
